Unlike most others, it works fine with a spiral compact fluorescent bulb. The design is clearly the product of a thoughtful engineer. It appears that the relay fails to operate after a while. This is the first wall timer that I used specifically designed to handle low current CFL bulb loads. So far after about a year, it is holding up fine with no problems. The deep blue light from the display is pretty cool. This timer does not need batteries like my other timers to keeps it's settings so you have to worry about leaky battery acid destroying it. ...more
